“The Family Way” Horror Movie from Rogue Chimera Films is currently seeking small investors to help bring the acclaimed screenplay to life.

The popularity of crowdfunding platforms and the rise of exceptional indie horror has given genre fans an unprecedented opportunity to be a part of moviemaking magic. These fundraising campaigns allow fans to score some great perks at a minimal investment. Some campaigns even offer screen and producer credits with much larger donations.

However, most fans lacking very large pocketbooks never get the opportunity to truly invest in a film, with a financial stake in the film’s future success. It’s rare that a promising indie horror film with significant talent behind it offers smaller investors the chance to share in the film’s profits. That’s why we wanted to make you aware of a very special opportunity through the female-driven company Rogue Chimera Films.

For an investment as low as $100, you can become an official investor in the company’s latest film, The Family Way

Unlike crowdfunding campaigns, investors don’t pay for perks like DVDs and film swag. Instead, they become partners in the film and share in the film’s potential revenues. If the film does well, investors receive 120% of principal and 50% of net proceeds thereafter.

The Family Way is a feature film adapted from the acclaimed feature screenplay written by Shiva Rodriguez and D. Duckie Rodriguez. The story is a unique twist on an old horror theme, combining powerful themes of self-discovery, self-awareness, and self-preservation with a truly unusual and terrifying cast of characters that will leave audiences rooting for the bad guys.

Official Synopsis: By all appearances, gas station owner Richard Cultry is a pillar of a small community. He’s a family man with a doting wife, a well-educated son, and a heart large enough to adopt a mentally-challenged boy and a socially-awkward teenager. However, everyone in his household is also a vicious killer. In the tradition of the infamous Bender clan of the late 1800s, the Cultry Family preys on travelers and everyone has a role to play in the real family business. After springing their trap on a group of vacationers, the Cultry family discovers that one of their intended victims may have the potential to become one of their own.

The screenplay has done well in script contests around the world and was a finalist at the 2017 Women in Horror Film Festival. The production has already cast a few key roles including actress Catherine Corcoran (Known for Return to Nuke’Em High Vol. One, Return to Return to Nuke’Em High Vol. Two) and actress/model Mel Heflin (Known for Dead Woman’s Hollow, American Freakshow, Katherine).

The crew includes director Shiva Rodriguez and cinematographer Scott Sullivan, who both worked on the award-winning short prologue film “The Family Way: Coming Home”. The film also has legendary special effects artist MARCUS KOCH (We Are Still Here, 100 Tears, Krampus Unleashed, Circus of the Dead, American Guinea Pig: Bloodshock) attached, which definitely adds to the excitement.

The Family Way is tentatively scheduled to begin filming in June 2018. The production team has plans to produce more movies in the future, including a possible sequel. While investors are only being sought for the current project, The Family Way, this opportunity allows individuals to get in on the ground floor with the chance to be a part of future projects.

Of course, as with all financial investments, there is substantial risk involved and no guarantee of return on investment. However, for those who can tolerate the risk and who are truly passionate about horror/film, this opportunity provides a very rare chance to be a meaningful part of an indie film team.
