In honor of the 7th Annual Women in Horror Month, we wanted to take this opportunity to honor two of our favorite ladies in the genre, the incredibly talented and influential Soska Sisters. Jen and Sylvia Soska, known as the “Twisted Twins”, are a Canadian identical twin sister writing and directing duo. They first broke onto the scene with their DIY love letter to Grindhouse filmmaking, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, which they have graciously given us permission to screen at our upcoming FILM FATALES double feature in Austin, TX, in celebration of women in horror.
The video below is our loving tribute to these amazing women who continue to create, innovate, and break new ground for indie horror filmmakers, especially for the underrepresented females of the genre.
