CHEER AND LOATHING
She’s a lover, he’s a fighter. Together, they’re CHEER AND LOATHING. Tune in to hear your hosts, Stephanie (Cheer) and Casey (Loathing), clash over the films they love — and the ones they love to hate. With a new theme each month and related topics each week, they’ll make a case for the good and the bad; it may even get a bit ugly! New episodes drop the first three Sundays of every month, with possible bonus content every fourth Sunday.
THE FINAL GIRL ON 6TH AVE
The Final Girl on 6th Ave is a weekly show where host, Carolyn Smith-Hillmer, dissects an arthouse/elevated horror film. Each episode includes a detailed play-by-play of the film itself and a subsequent deep dive into the thematic elements and symbolism. Because elevated horror is sometimes viewed within the horror community as pretentious, Carolyn makes sure to use her down-to-earth tone and unique perspective to make these films less intimidating for the casual horror viewer and less ostentatious for the genre lover.
NEW HORROR EXPRESS
New Horror Express is a weekly interview show, where host Scott Murphy (host of the Guilty Pleasures Podcast) chats to the best indie talent the horror genre has to offer. While the show typically focuses on indie directors, actors and writers are often a part of the conversation as well. New episodes are available every Monday.
Guilty Pleasures is a monthly spin-off show of the popular New Horror Express (NHE) podcast. Each month, NHE host Scott Murphy, alongside some former guests on the interview podcast, takes a deep dive into a 21st Century “Guilty Pleasure” horror movie as chosen by you the listener in an online poll (based on a particular theme).
ADVENTURES IN MOVIES
Adventures in Movies! is a weekly journey into the deepest and darkest recesses of film. From the latest genre film news and reviews to interviews with independent films’ brightest creators and stars, hosts Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel act as a voice to the voiceless.
DREKCULAS UNDERWORLD is a “storytime review” podcast where your host, Drekcula, takes you on a guided journey of a new horror film every week — from beginning to end. Virtually watch along with him as he narrates each film with plenty of wit, crude humor, and sarcasm.
NOT YOUR FINAL GIRL
Not Your Final Girl is a podcast hosted by two women (Ariel Dyer and Candace Sluder) just trying to make it to the end of the movie. Join us bi-weekly for deep dives into horror with a fresh take on the genre we love!
ALL AMERICAN SPOOKSHOW
Since 2018, the All-American Spookshow team has reviewed Horror, Cult, Action flicks, and, of course, total crap so you don’t have to, but encourage you to nonetheless. Every 2 weeks, the gang reviews a Horror movie, with spoilers, alternating between older films (1999-back) & newer films (2000-present). Every other week, they alternate between a few different series, Spookshow Spotlight, Cult Corner, and Cannon Fodder.
OMINOUS ORIGINS PODCAST
Every Friday evening, you can catch a new episode of the Ominous Origins Podcast (formerly the Horror Shots Podcast) hosted by Casey Chaplin. Casey is an accomplished writer, photographer, and published author. In his popular podcast, he explores horror history and takes a scholarly look at the mysterious creatures and events of myth, legends, and folklore. Each episode is typically 15-20 minutes long, focusing on historical supernatural events and beings, such as cryptids, vampires, demons, witches and witchcraft, and so on.
THEY MOSTLY PODCAST AT NIGHT WITH CHAOS AND CARNAGE
They Mostly Podcast at Night has been broadcasting their movie picks since 2017. Hosts Chaos and Carnage take turns picking a movie each week to terrorize their cohost with. And once the mics are on, the bickering and bantering begins. Best friends for 20 years, their bickering is aged like a fine wine. Or cheese. New episodes drop every Monday. And don’t forget to check out their Instagram or Facebook page for clues of what will be coming out next.
BY THE CANDLE’S LIGHT: A STORYTELLING PODCAST
Sitting alone in a dark room, on a moody and atmospheric night is the perfect place to listen to By the Candle’s Light. Through the art of storytelling, this podcast is for those who enjoy campfire stories, with a darker touch than the tradition. Each week we will be exploring the darker side of the human condition from lust to envy, and everything in between. All of the stories you hear are original pieces, written solely for the podcast. So hunker down and get comfortable, for you might just need something to hold tight.
Now in its second season, By the Candle’s Light is now proudly part of the Morbidly Beautiful Podcasting Network.
I SPIT ON YOUR PODCAST
Jess and Kelly co-host this well produced, highly entertaining and insightful monthly podcast. Every month, they explore the world of horror entertainment, with each episode centering around a particular theme. This is a time once a month where Jess puts down her bloody knitting needles and Kelly steps away from the TV to discuss horror movies and other horror mediums with thoughtful analysis, research, and passion. You can find new episodes of the show right here on Morbidly Beautiful the first Wednesday of every month.
SILVER SCREAM QUEENS
On the Silver Scream Queens podcast, best friends Blayne, Emily, and Stephanie tear into the horror classics, all through an intersectional feminist lens. Tune in as they dig into horror movie favorites from fresh feminist angles — with topics such as himbos in horror, a dating app for horror moms, and placing horror baddies on the Kinsey Scale.
