In honor of its 35th anniversary, the Guilty Pleasures crew celebrates the cinematic perfection that is Studio Ghibli’s “My Neighbor Totoro”.

Each month, we’ll take turns selecting a film we believe to be virtually flawless, one that had a significant impact on our lives and/or helped shape the film lover we became.
For our premiere episode, it was Steph’s pick. In honor of its 35th anniversary, she selected MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO, the 1988 Studio Ghibli animated classic by Hayao Miyazaki.
As Steph argues for the film’s place in the hallowed halls of cinematic perfection, she says:
