‘BEETLEJUICE 2’ is NOT in production! Well, not now anyway. Tim Burton’s rep caught wind of the news that it was, and he quickly made it clear Burton is not making the film at this time.
“Tim Burton did not confirm BEETLEJUICE 2, as the movie is not in development. Tim’s focus is entirely on MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN (set for a September 30, 2016 release) and the development of DUMBO.”
So that’s that, no ‘BEETLEJUICE 2’ at this time. But that doesn’t mean ‘BEETLEJUICE 2’ is completely off the table. Winona Ryder confirmed the making of the film in an TV interview with Late Night personality Seth Myers.

After Adam and Barbara die in a car crash, their spirits are left to wander their old home, which has just been sold to the Deetzes. Desperate to rid their home of the obnoxious living intruders, the deceased couple turn to Betelgeuse, a mischievous spirit claiming to be a bio-exorcist.
