The holidays are all about family, so we’re honoring horror moms on this week’s “Not Your Final Girl”, where we talk “Serial Mom” and “The Orphanage”.
THIS EPISODE: WHOLESOME HORROR MOMS (WITH SPECIAL GUEST KAYLA OF SCREENVOMIT)
What a sweet episode we’ve got for you this time — sweet, as in incredibly wholesome…but with cool, rock ‘n roll murder stuff, too! This episode really does have everything, listeners. We had a whale of a time with ScreenVomit co-host Kayla talking about Serial Mom (1994), a rollicking John Waters crime spree with an amazing cast, and The Orphanage (2007), a Spanish ghost story that is poetic, shocking, and devastating in equal turns. Sound heavy? Don’t worry; we also have body horror and house fire stories. You’re gonna love it.
Stay tuned for some severe hot takes, formative horror movies, a minor discussion of Indianapolis Underground Railroad architecture, and the coolest horror moms on the block.
And please be sure to check out ScreenVomit! Our co-host Candace was a special guest on ScreenVomit, where she talked about the movie Gone Girl, for better or worse. You can check out that episode right here. But we recommend you check out as many episodes as you and subscribe so you can stay on top of new episode drops. You can do that right here.
