The 16th Annual Telluride Horror Show brings three days of chilling premieres, haunting guests, and high-altitude Halloween vibes to Colorado.
It’s October in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, and with that arrives the indie Horror film festival you never knew you needed. The 16th annual Telluride Horror Show (Oct. 10–12, 2025) returns with three days packed with thought-provoking cinema and live events to the iconic mountain town for what’s known as one of the country’s most immersive horror gatherings.
This year’s lineup delivers a promising array of anticipated premieres, activities, and fan-favorite guests. Whether you are a full-feature junkie or a short film connoisseur, the festival offers a variety of options exploring the sub-genre categories of horror in one thrilling weekend.
A couple of highly anticipated honorable mentions to look out for:
Bryan Fuller’s Dust Bunny – The long-awaited feature debut from the Hannibal and Pushing Daisies creator. Fuller will attend the Colorado Premiere of his dark, fantastical tale starring Mads Mikkelsen as a hit-man neighbor enlisted by a 10-year-old girl to slay the monster she believes devoured her family.
Chris Stuckmann’s Shelby Oaks – A NEON Spotlight supernatural mystery about a woman’s obsessive hunt for her missing sister, screening in Colorado for the first time.
The Adams Family’s Mother of Flies – The DIY horror auteurs behind Hellbender return to Telluride with a dark folk-magic story steeped in death rituals and woodland dread.
Advance look at The Creep Tapes – Season 2 – Patrick Brice and Mark Duplass return to the Horror Show with three new episodes from the Shudder/AMC+ found-footage cult hit- weeks ahead of the November 14 streaming premiere.
The festival’s guest lineup is multifaceted.
Heavy hitter authors such as Grady Hendrix (How to Sell a Haunted House), Stephen Graham Jones (My Heart is a Chainsaw), Sarah Langan (Pam Kowolski Is a Monster), Paul Tremblay (The Cabin at the End of the World), Daniel Kraus (Trollhunters), and Jeremy Robert Johnson (Skullcrack City) will collaborate for Creepy Campfire Tales, signings, and the annual Horror Summit.
Legendary producer Jon Davison (RoboCop, Starship Troopers) again takes the lead at the Horror Vault, presenting six cult classics on glorious 16 mm film. Meredith Borders, senior editor at FANGORIA, will also return as guest host.
Beyond the premieres and author events, the Telluride Horror Show thrives on its “high-altitude Halloween” vibe: packed screenings in historic venues, genre-themed parties across town, and the beautiful autumn mountain atmosphere that’s made this fest a bucket-list destination for horror fans across the country.
Don’t miss out on this year’s most anticipated event as passes are on sale now at telluridehorrorshow.com. Individual tickets will be available at the door (if seats remain) after passholders are admitted. See you in the mountains.
We belong to the dark stories we share, and at the Telluride Horror Show, we find others who do too.
