Now playing on the Morbidly Beautiful network: “Creepy and Geeky” welcomes a new guest each week to dish on horror movie double features.

We are thrilled to welcome the Creepy and Geeky podcast to the Morbidly Beautiful Network. This podcast is insightful, entertaining, and inclusive, and we love the show’s commitment to showcasing a diverse range of voices in the genre.

Launched on October 31st (of course) in 2021, it was originally an outlet for host Robert to talk about horror movies with his adult son and daughter (we love when a passion for horror is a family affair!). Eventually, due to their busy schedules, he branched out to having a bevy of weekly special guests on the show.

We asked Robert what he loves about horror, and he explained: “I love horror because it’s a medium that can tell almost any story or make any kind of story better. My favorite horror franchise is EVIL DEAD. My favorite horror film of the past decade is probably MIDSOMMAR. And my favorite subgenre of horror is horror comedy, followed closely by slashers.”

When we asked him why he wanted to be a part of our network, he said:

I’m excited to join the Morbidly Beautiful Network because of its ideals and commitment to diversity and inclusivity. That’s important to me and for my show.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Creepy and Geeky is a podcast about horror and comic book movies, and so much more. Creepy double-feature episodes come out every Monday, and Geeky comic book episodes release every Friday. Your host, Robert, is a geek through and through, absorbing all manner of pop culture, but specifically addicted to comic books, movies, and horror.

New episodes drop every Monday. Listen wherever you get your podcasts or right here on Morbidly Beautiful.

We’ll be sharing every horror episode shortly after it drops. But if you love the show as much as we do, we encourage you to also tune into the weekly comic book episodes as well.

DIVE RIGHT IN!

We asked Robert to share a couple of his favorite episodes to give new listeners a chance to get to know the show, and here’s what he suggested.
1970s Cult Horror – Robert welcomes author and Managing Editor of DailyGrindhouse.com, Preston Fassel, to discuss two films that helped start the British Moral Panic: MUMSY, NANNY, SONNY, AND GIRL (aka GIRLY) and GOODBYE GEMINI.
Holiday Horror – Robert discusses SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 1 & 2 with his kids in celebration of the Christmas season.
What a Twist! – In honor of his 50th episode, Robert chats with fellow podcaster Donna from the Donna Tha Dead podcast and his daughter about iconic 80s horror, APRIL FOOL’S DAY and SLEEPAWAY CAMP.
