Hello Mary Lou Prom Night 2

Mary Lou is back. God help this podcast.

This week on They Mostly Podcast at Night, pick out a floofy dress and some strappy heels, it’s time to attend the prom in the 1950s. Luckily for our intrepid movie guides, Mary Lou Malone will be there to fire things up! Spurned boyfriends make heated exes. Don’t worry, though, Chaos and Carnage will keep you out of the crossfire!

If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction and more!

“Bitchy Mary Lou went to the prom… and things went awry.” – Carnage’s five second summaries.

In this Carnage pick, we’re taken to a prom night in the 1950s, where Mary Lou Malone, contender for prom queen, has what her boyfriend decides is too much fun at the prom when he catches her with another boy and she is not at all sorry. And she pays with her life. Burns to death while everyone just watches. Um, because it was in the script, we guess.

Fast forward to the present, well, the ‘80s, and prom queen contender Vicky is quite the opposite of Mary lou. She’s blonde, she’s discovered the inexplicable craze of stonewash, and she’s nice. She doesn’t drink, she doesn’t have multiple boyfriends, you get it. But when she goes looking in the high school’s costume room for a prom dress, she opens a trunk holding Mary Lou’s spirit, bent on revenge!

Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2 is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Check out the trailer for the film below. And join us next week for the Chaos pick, Alien, with guest Catastrophe.
