This week on the podcast: The incomparable Vincent Price battles the apocalypse and the undead in the 1964 black-and-white gem “The Last Man on Earth”.

By night they leave their graves crawling, shambling, through empty streets whimpering, pleading, begging for this podcast.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE:

They stalk you slowly, wanting your brains….or your blood or something. So they are like vampires, but like zombies….or half-vampires and half-zombies. Zompires? Vambies? Whatever they are, Vincent Price will kick their asses. Or die. One of the two things will happen.

If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction and more!

“Zompires are everywhere, so Vincent Price is tasked with killing them all, and things go awry. – Carnage’s Five Second Summary

Robert Morgan, lab scientist and Zompire killer extraordinaire is the last man on Earth. Or is he? Days are spent rehanging garlic and going to the All Mirror Store and picking up new mirrors for his place. Nights are spent looking for a cure to fix the Zompires.

Flashing back to the start of the Zompires, we see Morgan’s child and then wife have succumbed to the disease and his child being thrown into the pit where bodies are burned. Because that is where you put your dead bodies. In a fiery pit. Excellent.

Thirsty for companionship, Morgan finds and then kills one friend. Then he finds a woman….who has a secret purpose. Will he keep this friend or will her army come after him? Listen to the podcast and find out!

Go check out The Last Man on Earth if you mind being spoiled like a dead body in a fiery pit. Then make sure to check out this week’s episode for the secrets to being the Last Man on Earth with Chaos and Carnage!
