Quiet Place

This week on the podcast: We talk our way through yet another movie about keeping your mouth shut and realize we’d never survive a silent apocalypse.

If they hear you, they will hunt you on this podcast.

Wait for it……sssh, can you hear it? Well fuck, they can hear you so shut the eff up! Take 2! Haha, suckers. Also, if your spawn dies by the hands of an awesome hearing monster, just make another one. It’s totally the right thing to do.

If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction and more!

“A family tries to survive an apocalyptic world and deal with the stupid mistake of becoming pregnant during said apocalypse, because apparently Trojans did not exist in this world. The end.– Carnage’s Five Second Summary

Let us take you back to a time after the world has been shook by well-eared monsters. No, not Daniel Craig, you son of a bitches. These monsters prey on the noisy and attack at the drop of a toy rocket. Also, they will prey on those dicks who scream out in the middle of the forest hoping to get everyone around them killed, but we digress.

We join the Abbott family as they make their way around the forest and through their doorless house as they try to live as silently as possible.

All the while, they make a quiet place (hey, yo, title shot!) for their baby on the way…. a baby that is totally not a replacement for the son they lost a year prior. Not at all. Please don’t name it the same as that kid, because that will be very fucking creepy.

Will John Krasinski’s directing/acting ability make a good film? Will a mountain lion just come into the house and eat them spontaneously? Will Chaos ever care that a Kitner Award was awarded? Listen to this week’s episode and find out!

We are back with guest host Catastrophe, who we have since forgiven for last week’s pick. Join on this wonderful and thoughtful journey as we talk about how we would all die in this apocalyptic world due to farting and snoring.

Go check out A Quiet Place if you care about being spoiled like a baby who is given its own casket and an oxygen mask too. Then make sure to check out this week’s episode for the 411 with Chaos and Carnage.

A Quiet Place is streaming on Netflix.
