Fight against censorship: Attend or support the historic Unearthed Films event, A SERBIAN FILM EXHIBITION, in Los Angeles this May.

Everybody has a cause these days. Some of these causes are righteous, some are obscure, and some of them evil. Matters are further complicated by the fact that everybody is having word-wars over who thinks what causes are right, and what causes are wrong. But I have news for people who carry on and on about this: there are a lot of Rebels and Jedi Knights in the world, but there are just as many Imperials and Sith Warriors.  And it doesn’t matter which side you ally yourself with, to the other side you’re dead wrong.

I have chosen to involve myself in a somewhat obscure cause: ending motion picture censorship.

I am viciously passionate about it, and refuse to make any compromises. When a filmmaker (ARTIST, thank you very much) locks the cut of the film they made, it shouldn’t be touched. Taking a creation that, in some cases, was made by literally thousands of hands, and molding it to suit your own moral ideals is a fucking atrocity. And, by the way, a very Imperial thing to do.  Shame on you!

Doing your part in the war against censorship is important, no matter how big or little your actions are.  And it is also very brave, because in some cases you need to set aside your own beliefs in order to further the cause.

Please attend the A SERBIAN FILM EXHIBITION, which will take place in Los Angeles between May 18th and May 25th

This event will be starting with a screening of the complete, unexpurgated, and ever-elusive uncensored cut at the Downtown Independent Theater on May 18th. Doors will open at 7:00 pm, the carnage will roll at 7:30 pm, and following the screening there will be a Q & A with director Srdjan Spasojevic.

Tickets for this event will also have access to the VIP after-party, which will take place at the Lethal Amounts gallery.  Included here are three storyboards not shown on the website, which will be for sale at the event.
