Freddy is an accomplished artist who has worked on the art department for several independent horror films. He’s also contributed to the VHShitfest zine, Tape Mold, and contributed art for their popular documentary Adjust Your Tracking. He’s the author of “Stay Cool and Never Change: Comic Strips Inspired by Yearbook Signatures”, currently available for purchase on Amazon. In addition to his art, Freddy is also a successful writer, having run a website for extreme horror movies called Sunday Snuff and contributed to numerous horror blogs over the past decade. He also co-hosted the Famous Podsters of Filmland podcast.
Freddy is bringing two exciting, original comic series to Morbidly Beautiful: Hellhole and The Veritable Voorhees. Be sure to come back each Sunday for new Sunday Strips by Freddy Funbuns.
Hellhole is about a town perched atop a garden variety Hell Mouth. Creatures, devils, monsters, witches, and the middle class are all at the mercy of mediocrity in this comic strip that pays homage to my heroes, Charles Addams and Gahan Wilson.
The Veritable Voorhees
The Veritable Voorhees is about our old friend Jason settling in to a midlife crisis that involves a lack of interest in his hobby of mass murder, an overbearing and judgmental wife, and disillusionment with where he is at in his life. Pop the Lorazepam and contrive a silent mantra because this will be a one way ticket to bummer town!
