Blacktober

October is over, but the magic of the month is alive with the final Blacktober episode featuring listeners’ favorite black horror characters.

SHOW NOTES FROM YOUR HOST DONNA:

On this episode, I put the question out in the Instaverse: who are some of your favorite Black horror characters? You guys did not disappoint, and I’m sharing all the choices to close out my Blacktober series. Thank you to all who answered. I really appreciate your participation and had a great time with this episode.

“Donna has spent the entire month of October sharing some of her favorite Black characters and performances in horror. For the final episode of the month, she opened it up to her listeners to share their favorites, and they did not disappoint. Making the list are some names you might expect in some of the greatest horror films of all time, but there are also some great surprises (including one film I’ve never seen that I’m off to seek out immediately).

She ends with an example of, as she brilliantly refers to it, “Black Horror Excellence” in one of the best horror films ever made — plus a great summation of what this month of Black Horror celebration as meant to her and why she is so passionate about sharing her voice on this podcast.

This is an absolute must-listen. It may be a shorter episode, but it’s long on value.” – Stephanie Malone, Editor-in-Chief
