On this week’s “Not Your Final Girl”, we talk about epic romance, sexuality, coming of age, and vampirism in a sexy, blood-soaked episode of the podcast.
THIS EPISODE: GAY VAMPIRES
You ever commune with the creatures of the night? We did in this episode. And folks, we’re here to tell you, the thirst for human blood transcends gender binaries. But you knew that already, right?
First off, we’ve got an incompetent familiar, voyeurism, social outcasts, and the most romantic bloodbath we’ve ever seen in Let the Right One In. Also someone bursts into flames. You love to see it. Then in Bit, we’ve got Laurel, a queer trans girl, leaving her small town behind and falling in with a vampire girl gang in LA. But also they have an evil heart in a box, Nazi vampires hunters after them, and everyone is generally kind of terrible. Ah, the pains of growing up — or becoming immortal, or whatever.
Next up: Cishet Werewolves. Just kidding. Or are we? Weigh in on this very important topic in our pit of discussion, Not Your Final Girl Gang on Facebook. We also share memes and incantations there, dance naked under the full moon, and stare into the endless blackness of the abyss. Please be our friend!
