This week on the podcast, we debate if “Jawbreaker” is horror… and if high school mean girls are in fact the most horrifying thing on the planet.

The sweetest candies are as sour as this podcast.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE:

OMG Becky, look at their dead friend! She is, like so stiff with rigor mortis! She looks like one of those kidnapped victims who choked on a jawbreaker and just totally ruined her own birthday.

If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction and more!

“Take one part retro mean girls, three parts innuendo, two parts kink, one part Pam Greer’s badass self, and things go awry.– Carnage’s Five Second Summary

How fetch is Jawbreaker? Well let me tell you kids, it is deadly fetch. I am making this a thing. Come at me, bro. Ahem, I mean we welcome your polite conversation in regards to deadly fetch being a thing.

This week we head back into the nineties to find some even meaner girls than Rachel McAdams and Lindsey Lohan. The kind of girls you would run away screaming from in any normal high school. The kind of girls who think kidnapping their girlfriends for their birthday is a fun surprise. The kind of girls who put the Ho in Horrible.

Join us on this sometimes acid trippy journey through the death of Liz Purr and the subsequent kinky cover up. Will the Noxema Girl, Rebecca Gayheart, save the day? Or will she just run over someone with her SUV? Oooh, too soon?

Go check out Jawbreaker if you care about being spoiled like a small child who wants a jawbreaker and bursts into tears when Chaos denies them. Then make sure to check out this week’s episode for the debate on is this horror with Chaos and Carnage.

Jawbreaker is streaming on Shudder.
