ABOUT THIS EPISODE:
Imagine your worst nightmare: this podcast takes over the world.
Welcome to our yearly themed month of October! This year, we are bringing you Stephen Kingapalooza, a celebration of movies adapted from King’s novels in the 1980s!
In this episode of They Mostly Podcast at Night, get in your big rig and meet Chaos and Carnage at the truck stop at the end of the world! With an entire soundtrack by AC/DC, for those about to rock, we salute your attempt to survive the machines turning on mankind!
If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction and more!
“Comet goes around the earth… trucks go awry.” – Carnage’s five second summaries.
Emilio Estevez is working hard at the Dixie Boy truck stop, when all of a sudden he, the other workers and patrons become the prey of electronics all around them! From a carving knife that goes after a waitress to a convoy of semi trucks circling the building, threats are everywhere, and anyone could be next!
A troubled runaway, a bible salesman, a newlywed couple and a teenage boy all find themselves at the Dixie Boy as well, fleeing the machines that have betrayed them. They struggle with the others to keep their lives in exchange for helping the possessed vehicles harassing them.
Will the humans be able to out-think their tormentors? Or is it time for a new species to run the world? And just what is it that made the machines turn on the human race in the first place?
Check out the trailer for the film below. And tune in next Monday for the next installment of Kingapalooza, Cujo, with guest Maverick!
