ABOUT THIS EPISODE:
Vampires are on our minds clearly this year. Perhaps it is because there is one among us. This week, we delve deep into the seventies with Blacula. Never has there been a cooler and sharper-dressed vampire.
If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction, and more!
“Interior decorators buy casket without even opening it up and bring it back to America and things go awry.”– Carnage’s Five Second Summary.
As much as we love a good vampire film, this has the added bonus of a most excellent way of making a vampire. This gift or curse (depending on whom you ask) would spread like wildfire — certainly, it would spread faster than the Ann Rice method. Really without a wise doctor like Gordon Thomas, vampirism could have spread through New York within a week. That would have been awesome. Horrible. We mean horrible.
Make sure to check out Blacula to keep from getting spoiled like a vampire with the population of New York, and then check out Chaos and Carnage for the low down.
