On this Valentine’s Day special episode of the “Adventures in Movies!” podcast, we discuss the art of seduction via erotic thrillers.

EPISODE SUMMARY
Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel are a bunch of hopeless romantics. For Valentine’s Day, the three discuss erotic thrillers. There is a whole lot more than Sharon Stone and Basic Instinct. Plus, a review of Julia Fox’s PVT Chat.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE (106):

The show starts with a discussion on how uninteresting this year’s Super Bowl commercials were. Thankfully, Glenn Danzig was able to save the week with a trailer for his new movie Death Rider in the House of Vampires.

This week, the three review PVT Chat. Julia Fox stars as a cam girl named Scarlett who becomes friends with an online gambler named Jack.

It’s the premise for a cute love story with some adult elements. The guys talk about how well this worked in practice.

The main segment this week is about erotic thrillers. From Basic Instinct to Red Sparrow, Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel talk about their introduction to the genre, whether they can be popular again, and if they are career killers.
