Popular comedian Sean Jordan joins the show, plus a Thanksgiving-themed ramble that will leave you feeling full of horror talk and humor!
On this tight five of an episode, the Goddamn Kick Flippers welcome comedian, host of the All Fantasy Everything Podcast, and skateboarder Sean Jordan! We discuss being a Portland comic, living through Ryan’s shows, and favorite skateboarders. We also talk about realistic horror and figure out what movies we love that could possibly happen. It’s pretty brutal. So, pull up to our roadside hotel and stay awhile.
…
Sean Jordan is a well-known standup comedian living in Los Angeles who spent his formative years in Portland, OR, where he was voted the funniest person in 2014. In 2015, he was named one of the “Comics to Watch” by Splitsider. In 2016, he was awarded the same title by Comedy Central.
If you’re a podcast fan (if you’re here, hopefully, you are!), you’ve most likely heard Sean as a regular guest and fan favorite on Doug Benson’s podcast Doug Loves Movies. You may have also heard him on Professor Blastoff, The Crabfeast, Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction, Put Your Hands Together, and Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend. He also co-hosts the wildly popular All Fantasy Everything.
Sean is a regular on the comedy festival circuit. His stand-up comedy has been described as “You get the sense this is sincerity, not shtick. And so it’s not surprising Jordan is so popular with his peers in the scene — other comics, club staff, and promoters. His buoyancy can be hard to crack.”
Jordan was also a part-time staff writer on Live Wire radio and a member of a writing team for a Comedy Central pilot.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Their guest may have canceled at the last minute, but the Guys pull out an impromptu gem where they simply ramble… in the best possible way! They ramble and riff on the holidays, holiday horror, and Eli Roth’s new Thanksgiving movie. We get a critical reassessment of genre legend Eli Roth, a debate over the merits of Addams Family Values, just how much we all really value Halloween, the horror of straight white dudes, plus Matt Rife’s ‘not so special’ comedy special. It may have been an unplanned episode, but it’s also one of the show’s best and most entertaining!
