Gravitas Ventures acquires the U.S. and Canadian rights to Sarah Tice’s harrowing psychological thriller “DID I?”, releasing in November.

Gravitas Ventures, an Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company, has acquired U.S. and Canadian rights to DID I? directed and shot by Sarah Tice. The raw, twisty thriller stars newcomer Alexandra Pica, Trinity Soos (You Were My First Boyfriend), Michael Vitovich (BET+’s Average Joe), Nicola Masciotra (After Midnight), and Raven Wynn.
I had the pleasure of screening and reviewing DID I? during its festival run last year, and it earned high marks from me. I’m thrilled that Gravitas has picked up this genre gem for release on digital starting November 12, 2024. Pre-sales are open for purchase on Apple TV+.
The film follows Genevieve as she attempts to navigate her life with DID. Those efforts are greatly complicated when she begins to see flashbacks of memories she had no part in creating. Nervous of how dangerous she and her alter Stevie may be, she descends into hallucinations as she nears closer to the origin of her trauma in this Giallo-influenced horror/thriller.
Along with directing and serving as the film’s highly capable cinematographer, Tice also wrote and produced the film alongside Zachary Beckler (Interior). Zachary also handled editing, visual effects, and sound design duties, with Justin Beckler providing the film’s potent and effective score. The film was executive produced by Anthony Tice, Alexandra Bello, and Drew Breznitsky, MA.
The multi-talented Sarah Tice describes the film as follows:

“We set out to explore the psyche of individuals with dissociative identity disorder using the style and tropes of the horror and thriller genres that have historically used the disorder as a damaging scapegoat or twist explaining a character’s violent behavior. Through our research and personal interviews, we decided it was time to create a narrative that explored the honest, raw horrors that lie beneath DID without exploiting or demonizing those who are diagnosed with the disorder.”
“We set out to create ‘DID I?’ as a thrilling, honest, and empathetic portrayal of the experience that aims to shift blame away from victims and onto the originators of the trauma that created the disorder.”
DID I? is being released following a successful international festival run after its world premiere at the 2023 Florida Film Festival. It went on to win Best Feature Film awards at the 2024 Portland Horror Film Festival and Toronto International Spring of Horror and Fantasy Film Festival (TISH) and took home the John Wiggins Independent Spirit Award at Australia’s A Night of Horror International Film Festival. The film was also an Official Selection of the Phoenix Film Festival, Knoxville Horror Film Festival, and Atlanta Horror Film Festival.
“Gravitas is proud to be bringing Sarah Tice’s taught thriller DID I? to audiences this fall. Alexandra Pica expertly captures the harrowing experience of dissociative identity disorder to screen through the character(s) of Genevieve and Steve and will give audiences throughout North America the opportunity a more empathetic view of the aftermath of personal trauma,” stated Bill Guentzler, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Operations at Gravitas Ventures.
