‘Tis the season for sweet indulgence, and few deliver both sweet and spooky satisfaction as well as the extraordinary horror bakery, Conjurer’s Kitchen.
In this month’s edition of Monster’s Toy Box, I have something seriously tasty and terrifying cooked up for you. The holidays are upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with some mouthwatering horror-themed goodies. From cakes to chocolates to other delicious oddities, Conjurer’s Kitchen has everything you need to make this holiday season one you definitely won’t forget.
Conjurer’s Kitchen specializes in weird and unusual baked goods. All cakes and treats are handcrafted and individually designed to fit the needs of each and every order. The crazier and more intricate the request, the happier the kitchen is to meet the needs and demands of the consumer.
They have something for every occasion, including weddings and birthdays. Their product offering includes edible greeting cards and bookmarks, meat cakes, and some truly amazing pieces of food art — including various animal and human skulls made out of different types of chocolate.
A lot of the creations are rare and distinct.
They have beautiful Ouija board and anatomical cakes with realistic looking muscles and organs. Hand produced meals are made to resemble things like cow tongue and teeth, or even a horse head. They’re sick, twisted and wickedly beautiful displays of true craftsmanship.
Other unusual and delectable goodies include intricately sculpted chocolate curios and miscellaneous edibles like Milagro cookies, can cake, liquor infused popcorn and (according to their website) “scientifically accurate unicorn poop” complete with glitter.
You can also choose from a selection of creature cakes, as well as celebration style and tiered cakes. They come in all shapes, colors, sizes and themes.
However, the kitchen specializes and excels in the strange and spooky.
The shop even hosts popular movie taste-along events, where custom deserts are created to match certain moments in a film. During the event, the movie is paused, the lights come on, and viewers are given the opportunity to enjoy imaginative edible interpretations of specific scenes from the film.
Currently, events are hosted at The Electric Cinema in Birmingham on a very regular basis. But they also hold events elsewhere — both in Europe and North America. And with the shop’s upcoming relocation to California, US-based film lovers and foodies have a lot to look forward to.
Annabel de Vetten (aka Annabel Lecter) is “The culinary wizard of the Conjurer’s Kitchen.”
She’s a formally trained sculptor, taxidermist, and painter. After creating her own magic themed wedding cake, due to marrying a magician, her Kitchen has been consistently busy.
Annabel has done work for the television show Dexter and the Morbid Anatomy Museum in New York City. She was also featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not Dare to Look annual book series in 2014, has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and was featured in a segment of E! News’ A Touch of Strange.
In addition, Conjurer’s Kitchen caters to a very high-end list of clientele. Companies such as Fox Television, KFC, Pizza Express, Sky Living and more have enlisted the services of the talented kitchen and its staff.
Conjurer’s Kitchen is simply fascinating.
The creations are absolutely jaw dropping and out of this world. They are almost too good to eat…almost. Whether you’re in need of something specific or just have a craving for sweets, the Kitchen has you covered. When you get the chance, check out this amazing company.
You can shop their online Etsy store at https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ConjurersKitchen or request a custom order. Custom orders can also be requested via their website at https://www.conjurerskitchen.com/contact.
However, if you’re shopping for holiday treats, be sure to get your order in as soon as possible. The company will soon be relocating from Birmingham, England to Los Angeles, California. As a result, they will be closed from December 18th, 2019, until around March 2020.
