Calling all Female Genre Filmmakers: Submit Your Film to the Female Eye Film Festival For Free

As we gear up for a massive celebration of Women in Horror Month, we are so proud to help support Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF), North America’s only international competitive women directors’ festival.

Founder / Artistic and Executive Director Leslie Ann Coles conceived the Female Eye Film Festival after observing that women directors were a minority among filmmakers at the international film festivals she attended with her debut film, In The Refrigerator

Now in its 15th year, the festival continues to provide an exclusive showcase for women directors, illuminating the best of independent film and offering a cinematic perspective through the female eye. FeFF presents high-calibre short and feature films in drama, comedy, sci-fi, action, horror, documentary, animation, and experimental genres by debut and mid-career filmmakers, while paying tribute to internationally recognized directors. It bridges the gap between the written, visual, and media arts and boasts an eclectic program of films, script development, a photo exhibit, pitch sessions, master classes, tributes, and industry-initiative programs.

The festival is currently seeking films in the horror/thriller/sci-fi and fantasy genres as part of its Late Night Thrills and Chills program, hosted annually.

While the films submitted do have to be directed by women, we have a Script Development Program open to both men and women as long as their script features a female protagonist.

The late deadline for submissions is January 31st and the extended deadline is on February 28th. Click the link below to submit your film for consideration.
