In this week’s Rocky Horror Spookshow video review column, our hosts Miss J & Marty slice up of the most popular and prolific slasher franchises, the Friday the 13th series. Originally created to cash in on the success of Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th became one of the most successful media franchises in America, spawning twelve slasher films (including the original ten films in the series, plus Freddy vs Jason and the 2009 remake), a television show, novels, comic books, and extensive tie-in merchandise. Jason’s iconic hockey mask has become one of the most recognizable images in popular culture.

In this video, Miss J and Marty review all ten of the original films in the franchise (spanning from 1980-2001) as well as the remake (2009), offering great insight and behind-the-scenes trivia about the making of each film. We even get a very special celebrity visit from the man himself, Jason Voorhees, the deadliest serial killer in slasher history.

Be sure to tune in on Thursday of every week for more awesome videos from Morbidly Beautiful’s hot horror couple.
