The Wickedly Talented Ladies of Macabre Merch: Six Questions for the Beauty and Brains Behind the Killer Shop, SynysterKreationsco

Because I get a bit overwhelmed by the incredible selection of items available from a variety of killer shops, I adore curated horror subscription boxes that combine the talents of some of the most creative and talented artisans. SynysterKreationsco is both an online shop specializing in horror figures and handmade bath and beauty products, as well as your newest source for absolutely mind-blowing monthly subscription boxes. This month, you can preorder a whopping three different boxes, each with a unique theme tied to a popular Horror movie and each overflowing with a wide variety of exceptional goodies (including items from many amazing shops we’ve been spotlighting this month).

1. What was the inspiration for starting your own business and how did you get started?

My inspiration to start my own business was that my whole life I absolutely loved horror movies & shows. Child’s Play, The Twilight Zone, Nightmare on Elm St. & so many more! I thought there wasn’t enough body products, boxes, items that appealed to me — so I decided to create my own! I started advertising the small items I would make on Facebook, Etsy, and Instagram. When people started to become interested and actually buy a product, I got so excited! I’m glad I get to share the love of horror with everyone.

2. When and how did you fall in love with horror?

I fell in love with horror when I was really young. I was so fascinated with the different concepts of the horror movies & shows. Child’s Play was the first movies I fell in love with!

3. Where does inspiration for your products come from? What is your creative process like?

I gain inspiration based on products I haven’t seen yet. Different themes, products, collaborations, etc. The feedback from my customers are a big source of what I’ll do next!

4. What’s the best part about running your own business, and what’s the hardest part?

The best part is creating YOUR ideas and seeing them come to life! Seeing my customers love the products I create for them, that’s the reason why I keep creating. The hardest part is the deadlines to make sure the customers get their products when they are supposed to and gathering all the materials ready to get them shipped.

5. Tell me why you think it’s important for people to support small business? Is it especially important for people to support female-owned business (if so, why)?

I think it is important to support great talent. To support unique artists that are dedicating their all to their businesses. If you can, support small businesses because it really helps them grow and means so much!

6. How can people follow/interact with you on social and purchase your products? And is there anything else you’d like to add or promote?

My social media platforms are Facebook & Instagram, SynysterKreationsco. I’m also on Etsy: SynysterKreationsco.  If you want to be updated on new upcoming products, subscribe to my website: I ask for what you want to see next and interact with all of you! This month’s box is themed “The Leprechaun”. So if you’re interested, grab one!
