THIS WEEK’S EPISODE:

Throughout this month, my special Women in Horror Month spotlight series has given me the opportunity to talk to some amazingly talented people. But today’s interview is quite the special one. Sarah Eikner is one of the founders of Geeks Who Eat, a brand dedicated to making recipes inspired by their love of film. As somebody who is terrible at cooking (even if Sarah doesn’t believe people can’t cook), I found her work to be fascinating and completely unique to the industry.

In the time that Geeks Who Eat has been around, Sarah and her husband have worked a great deal of events, and they have even worked for massive production companies in one way or another. She shares her recipes with the world, and they are all completely original as well. From fantasy to horror, there’s something for everybody on her site. However, horror is where her heart is.

She has such a passion for food and movies — especially horror — that it brought her and her husband together in a very touching way.

Geeks Who Eat is an incredibly popular website and brand, and they are looking to expand their brand in the near future with other outlets.

Sarah is a deeply dedicated and passionate woman, and it really shows in her work.

Women in Horror Month isn’t just about celebrating people who work in traditional mediums, as we’ve tried to highlight during this interview series. Sarah is a great example of why it’s so important to recognize talent working in all different aspects of the genre. I’ve never spoken to anybody like her before, and I highly encourage you to visit her website to get some fun and delicious recipes. I know I will.

Just think, the next horror or Halloween party you have could blow people away if you use one of Sarah’s designs!
