Despite all the reasons in the world not to, people can’t stop returning to the Abaddon Hotel. Join us as we too fail to stay away — not once but twice!
What happens when a group of people repeatedly fail to learn from past, returning over and over again to the scene of horrible tragedy when they should clearly know better? That’s right. A horror franchise happens! This week, specifically, we’re talking about the Hell House LLC franchise. Join us for a very special double episode of the PaNcast where we discuss Hell House 2 and 3.
ABOUT THIS EPISODE:
Nine years following the tragic events at the Abaddon Hotel, a podcast team went searching for answers. The podcast was more terrifying than ever imagined.
This week on They Mostly Podcast at Night, join Chaos and Carnage for more instances of a doubly haunted house — one by trade, one by actual ghosts — where people continue to go into the house despite proof of homicidal ghosts, and other people continue to be surprised when they don’t come back out.
If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction and more!
“Hell House, LLC was marginally successful so they made some sequels… and things went awry.” (Five second summary)
In Hell House LLC 2: The Abaddon Hotel, journalist Jessica Fox has been led into the middle of the Hell House drama when an anonymous tip piques her interest about the house and she becomes convinced that the answers to the myriad of remaining questions surrounding that night can be found inside the abandoned hotel itself. So she gathers a team of investigators to go in with her and breaks into the hotel to get a story. What could go wrong?!
In part 2 of our double episode, Hell House LLC 3: Lake of Fire, we find that the Abaddon Hotel is finally set to be demolished — until, at the last minute, it is bought from a wealthy man who has been receiving footage from the mysterious events that took place at the hotel. He intends to open the hotel up to patrons once again, despite owning footage that would definitely let him know what he was up against.
It seems like he’s leading lambs to the slaughter, knowing what we know about the hotel from the previous two films. But could the mysterious millionaire have a plan to shut down the malevolent forces in the hotel for good? Go watch the movies and come back for conversation. Let us know what you think!
