“Three innocent catholic schoolgirls play with a Ouija board during a solar eclipse… and things go awry.” – Carnage’s five second summaries.
Verónica is a fifteen year old girl whose father has recently died. Her mother now spends all her time working to support them, and as a result it falls to Verónica to care for her three siblings. As a means of harmless escapism, Verónica subscribes to an occult magazine. One month comes with a spirit board and instructions for conducting a seance during a solar eclipse. Conveniently, a solar eclipse is nigh.
Verónica and her two besties gather under their Catholic girls school during the solar eclipse, while everyone else is on the roof watching the sky. Everyone but Sister Death, but she’ll come back later. The girls use the spirit board, with Verónica’s aim being to contact her dearly missed father. The thing that comes through the spirit board claims to be Verónica’s dearly departed dad, but what happens next seems more the work of a malevolent spirit. And whatever it is seems to have followed her home…
