Keep Coming Back

SHOW NOTES FROM THE GODDAMN GUYS:

This Halloween, we bring back Travis Bacon along with his Slashtag Cinema crew, Kyle Kouri and Dylan Garrett Smith, for a chilling dive into their debut short, Keep Coming Back.

Fresh off its spine-tingling premiere at ScreamFest LA, this micro-horror project is set to haunt festival screens nationwide. The crew discusses the inspirations behind Keep Coming Back, the process of bringing the independent film production company Slashtag Cinema to life, and what macabre tales are next.

Slashtag Cinema began in early 2022 in Los Angeles, CA, with the mission to showcase the individual skills of Kyle Kouri, Dylan Garrett Smith, and Travis Bacon to create a unique and unified vision through creative collaboration in the world of horror.

Their short, Keep Coming Back, made a splash at ScreamFest LA on October 15th, followed by an impressive festival run that included Hex After Dark and Filmquest, with an upcoming appearance at the LA Punk Festival on November 29th. The short revolves around Paul, who reluctantly attends a recovery meeting for his alcoholism. When he is forced to confront the circus of his past, things take a dark turn.

It was directed by actor, writer, filmmaker, and producer Kyle Kouri and written by Kouri, Dylan Garrett Smith, and Travis Bacon. Kouri and Bacon also star in the short alongside Bettina Olivieri, Sosie Bacon, Calvin Seabrooks, and Jake Robards.

Horror fans, festival-goers, and anyone craving Halloween-ready scares—this episode is for you!
