EPISODE SUMMARY
Before we headed out to the Sun City Fright Fest for our live broadcast, we had some things to get off our chests. It’s the spooky season, and we had to talk about the plans we have for the month. This year, we have some choices that go against our previous plans. Plus, we talk about what Stephen King movies to watch in October and notice something about miniseries remakes. It also seemed like the perfect time to talk about Haunt.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE (140):

We begin the episode with a discussion of our Halloween watch list.

Watching as many horror movies as possible is a staple of October. We talk about some of the favorites we watch every year. We also discuss how streaming has provided slightly different options for 31 Days of Halloween.

Anyone in the mood for Squid Games? Or is the gruesome and nonsensical violence of Slasher: Flesh & Blood more your speed? There is a lot more than movies to check off your scary bucket list.

Next, it’s time for our Movie Review Spotlight

For many, a big part of Halloween is going to extreme haunted houses. Haunt is a Shudder exclusive about a group of friends that go to one and end up with more than they bargained for. Yes, it is a slasher, but why does it feel so different?

The pacing and tone are unique, while the characters are familiar. The ending is something else entirely. We go over the good, the bad, and the terrifying.
