Score some low cost original art from one of Texas’ best horror artists, while supporting Black Lives Matter charities; this weekend only.
We just received some uplifting news from our neighbors up the road in Denton, TX. A well-known and wickedly talented artist from the Dallas-Forth Worth area, Ryan Sheffield, is auctioning off all the original art he has left from the last fews to donate to the Denton Bail Fund and North Texas Mutual Aid.
Ryan is known in art and horror circles for his harrowing style and unsettling narratives — creating art that truly represents what it means to be Morbidly Beautiful. He’s also created a few crowdfunded horror-themed board games and a very popular Ritual Abuse Tarot Deck, a full 78-card deck illustrated by Sheffield and inspired by the artwork of “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.”
The NO BARS BUT DIVE BARS // ART AUCTION FUNDRAISER is running this weekend only. Most of these jaw-dropping original pieces are priced very low (typically starting at just $10). Ryan knows the local community is struggling financially, and he wants to make sure art fans can participate and help make a difference.
The online auction is taking place via the Craft Fair Games Facebook page, Ryan’s independent, DIY table top game company based in Denton, TX.
To bid on an item, simply comment your bid amount on the photo of the piece you wish you to bid on. Don’t comment if you’re not bidding. And if someone outbids you, feel free to bid again. When the auction ends, the highest bidder on each photo will get that drawing. Shipping is free for US bidders and $15 flat shipping for overseas buyers. Do keep in mind that all funds raised through this fundraiser will be split equally between two very important charities, and consider bidding accordingly.
AUCTION ENDS: Mon. JUNE 8, 2020 @ 11:59PM
