ABOUT THIS EPISODE:

For our second week of Pride, Chaos and Carnage invite you to their housewarming party in NYC at their new brownstone apartment! There are models down below and a creepy property manager who pretends to be pregnant, plus a small child named Lyle. What could be better for a party? Okay, okay, maybe there are a lot of things that would be better. But we hope you’ll come to celebrate anyway!

If you are a new listener to the PaNcast, be aware there are spoilers and expletives ahead! We break down the movie, go through a summary, offer analysis, trivia, arbitrary awards, reviews, ratings, fanfiction, and more!

“Couple and their kid move into a new house, and the kid falls out a window. Don’t worry, though; they have a spare. Still, things go awry.”– Carnage’s Five Second Summary

A mother, Leah, and her partner June move into a brownstone in Brooklyn with their toddler Lyle. Although Leah is careful, Lyle ends up falling out a window — much to Leah’s horror and June’s relative indifference.

Leah’s grief overwhelms her and drives her to paranoia that Lyle’s death was orchestrated by a person or persons unknown. But, is it really just paranoia?

As it turns out, their building has seen a few deaths of children in its time, though the baby-crazy property manager assured Leah no children had ever lived there. And June only cares about her career, which has been taking off since they moved in. Something is off with June and the other inhabitants of the brownstone, making Leah fear for the life of her unborn daughter.

Make sure you check out Lyle first if you want to avoid spoilers in this episode. It’s currently streaming on Shudder and YouTube.
