Hey film buffs, are you ready for a history lesson? We promise to make it fun! Join us as we discuss the early history of home video.

In our latest Spookshow Spotlight, join Josh, Donny & Professor Smoak (Will is back on assignment) as we talk about the early origins of home video.

While we usually spend our time dissecting an individual movie, we sometimes love to celebrate film as a whole, diving into essential film history. This episode will eventually be a two-parter as there is so much great content to cover. We’re talking about the origins of home video. From the very first film all the way to the early 1980s and the true birth of home video rental, we take a deep dive into the topic.

We also finally get Smoak’s thoughts on Deathgasm & Donny’s views on Session 9! If you haven’t yet heard us discuss those films in detail, be sure to give those episodes a listen.

If you love movies as much as we do, you need to listen to this informative episode.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Since 2018, the All-American Spookshow team has reviewed Horror, Cult, Action flicks, and, of course, total crap so you don’t have to, but encourage you to nonetheless. Every 2 weeks, the gang reviews a Horror movie, with spoilers, alternating between older films (1999-back) & newer films (2000-present). Every other week, they alternate between a few different series, Spookshow Spotlight, Cult Corner, and Cannon Fodder.
