It may have only won by a hair, but the discussion about the insane “Legion” with our two special guests definitely did not disappoint.

EPISODE SUMMARY
We ran a poll on social media platforms to see which film we would look at in our Paul Bettany edition of the series, between 2010’s Legion and 2011’s Priest. The poll was a draw, but former guest Robert Ottone cast the tie-breaking vote for Legion.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE: “LEGION” WITH GUESTS ADAM STOVALL AND DREW MCWEENY

Alongside NHE host Scott Murphy, to dive into this one, we have a great former guest, director Adam Stovall (A Ghost Waits). Plus, making his pod debut, we have film critic, podcaster, and ’80s movies encyclopedia Drew McWeeny (The Last ’80s Newsletter).

Over the course of the episode, you will hear the trio discuss how Paul Bettany is frequently the best thing in mediocre films and just how confusingly edited much of the action on display in Legion is. They also try (unsuccessfully) to work out exactly what the rules of this cinematic world are.

Elsewhere in the episode, Adam decides whether he liked this less than Santa’s Slay (which he hated), Drew reminds us all of the movie Inkheart, and everyone comes together to pitch a new film.
